KRISHI UPDATES DIGITAL AGRICULTURE MODEL
Fostering Climate Resilient Communities
Krishi Updates is a digital platform that offers open-access, robust ICT infrastructure for collaborative knowledge sharing and skill development within communities through blended learning. Recognizing the limited digital capabilities and lack of ICT infrastructure in current food systems, especially among marginalized rural populations, we aim to establish Krishi Updates as an accessible digital platform for reaching and upskilling rural communities in the Himalayan region. We have successfully developed and piloted our Krishi Updates Digital Agriculture model in Himachal Pradesh, yielding promising results that demonstrate its effectiveness.
Expectations from the collaborators: Contribute towards developing socially inclusive digital tools for decision support and business intelligence. The collaborators are encouraged to start the same initiatives in their own regions, with their own brands and fix fortnightly meetings to avoid any mismanagement in ground implementation of the program. Through this collaboration we will assure proper handholding of the partners in effective utilisation of ICTs and Social Media for enhancing reach of Rural advisory services. The collaborators should assure that region specific, scientifically validated and need based information is disseminated through the collaboration.
Incentives: Upskilling on Krishi Updates Digital Agriculture Model and Entrepreneurship Development. Three steps approach: 1- Action Research and Digital Literacy 2- Providing robust ICT infrastructure 3- Incubation and Business Support Services.
