YAPU provides a digital platform which helps financial institutions (FIs) to digitize their business processes and to seemlessly integrate climate and ecosystem risk management . The platform is working in the cloud and available globally and especially (among other sectors) geared towards agricultural and adaptation finance - providing the structure for the set-up of referential data systems and climate data. Via field interviews managed by loan officers and client managers, the platform enables FIs to gather and centralize data on production systems, investment plans for Nature-based Solutions, climate risks and to steer monitoring activities as follow-up on loan performance. Resulting data not only helps to monitor, report on and verify green loans, but also to spur ongoing learning.
