Innovation Showcase: Synergies for accelerating the digital agriculture revolution through Knowledge Co-Creation and collaborative Partnerships

Description:

Digital agriculture demands the need to recognize the importance of learning, knowledge sharing, co-creation and collaborative engagement. A persistent challenge is the siloed nature of digital innovations, which often fail to resonate with the unique, context-specific needs of agricultural systems in the Global South and among African countries. The lack of a collaborative ecosystem hinders the scalability and impact of these solutions, leaving smallholder farmers underserved and excluded from advancements in agricultural technology despite the rapidly changing technologies with limited technology adoption.

This session will bring together different digital platforms that are being used by CGIAR and its partners from the CAADP-XP4 consortium for knowledge sharing, learning and engagement to identify good practices and lessons in reaching the last mile. Discussions will focus on how we can leverage these platforms in the new CGIAR portfolio and support partnerships at the regional and national levels. It will also look at opportunities and gaps in the digital agriculture space.

The session will be hosted by CIMYTT, ILRI, the Learning Alliance of FARA, AFAAS, ASARECA, CCARDESA, CORAF, and CGIAR in Africa (ILRI, IWMI and IITA), and in collaboration with IFAD, and the INTERFACES Project (funded by the German government).
