ICTforAg is a premier global event organised annually across several countries, bringing together an audience of global experts and enthusiasts committed to the development of digital solutions to address challenges in low-to middle-income countries. Since 2015, ICTforAg conferences have provided a platform for established and emerging leaders in digital agri-food systems to share their knowledge and perspectives and catalyse new partnerships. The ICTforAg+ India event is an India specific, complementary event to the global ICTforAg event (which was held this year from Nov 7-9, 2023). ICTforAg+ India, organized by Government of Telangana, CGIAR initiative on Digital Innovation, and The Agri Collaboratory is an inclusive opportunity for participants to engage with peers in the vibrant local digital ecosystem and connect with the global community focusing on the following themes: 1. Inspiration: This track will inspire the audience with real-world examples, showcasing both success and lessons-learned stories, highlighting the potential of digital technologies to drive positive changes in the agri-food sector. 2. Innovation: This track will explore innovative digital technology solutions that are available in agri food systems in the developing world, delving into cutting-edge research, technologies, and approaches that are scaling while overcoming adoption barriers. 3. Inclusion: This track will critically review technology solutions through the lens of gender and social inclusion, highlighting the policies, strategies, and other enabling considerations that can lead to an inclusive digital ecosystem. Specific objectives of the ICTforAg+ India: § Inclusion: Raise and promote awareness on responsible and inclusive digital innovation for agri food systems and discuss on the incentives for ensuring inclusivity. § Inspiration: Showcase exemplary use cases and the Inspire challenge winners to inspire the mainstreaming of inclusive digital innovations. § Innovation: Identify the frameworks and enablers for ecosystem for mainstreaming emerging technologies for agri-food systems. § Chalk-out action plans through break out work sessions for 4 key aspects that can play a critical supporting role: Policy; Research and innovations; Industry and ecosystem; Investment.
